Protesters March Through DC, Gather Outside White House, Trump Hotel

Anti-Trump protesters marched through Northwest D.C. following a day of demonstrations on the National Mall for the Women's March on Washington.

Hundreds, if not thousands, of protesters flooded through the streets -- many of them chanting and waving signs.

News4's Darcy Spencer reports the majority of the protesters did not appear to be affiliated with the Women's March.

Protesters yelled, "Black lives matter!" and "This is what America looks like."

Police in cars and on bicycles and motorcycles escorted the crowd through the congested downtown area.

Authorities cleared traffic in most cases, but not all. The march passed through traffic at times.

Some drivers on 14th Street didn't seem to mind and even waved at protesters weaving through cars. Other drivers took photos or video of the scene with their phones.

D.C. police started tweeting about 6 p.m. Saturday that two groups of protesters had formed. A third group started protesting more than hour later.

Just before 11 p.m., D.C. police said a group was marching westbound on Pennsylvania Ave. at 13th St. NW. Rolling road closures are still in effect.

A large group was outside the Trump International Hotel at one point and some participants could be seen wearing the pink "pussyhats" that thousands of women wore to the Women's March.

There have been no known arrests related to the Women's March, which is among the biggest demonstrations in the city's history.
