Virginia Track Coach Charged With Soliciting Student for Sex

A Virginia track coach is in jail for allegedly trying to pay a boy for sex — and authorities say more possible victims have come forward.

Stafford County deputies arrested 37-year-old Delvin Ladon Jackson on Wednesday on charges of soliciting a minor for prostitution.

Jackson is a track coach and a security officer at Colonial Forge High School.

“The key elements in this are that there was sexual exchanges, or offers of, for money and the child was under 18," Lt. Chris Cameron said.

Cameron said more accusers have come forward to the sheriff's office.

“We received two calls from two different people who have identified themselves as being potential victims of Mr Jackson’s.”

“I was shocked ... one of my sons ran track for all four years,” said former Colonial High School parent Michael Guynn.

Guynn says his son always looked up to Jackson and said he was "very disappointing."

Stafford County Public Schools said in a statement Jackson was placed on administrative leave.

Deputies praised relatives of the three teens who reported the allegations.

“I want to commend the parents. They had a good relationship with their child. The child disclosed that information, they took that serious and they told the authorities,” Cameron said.

Cameron said deputies also believe that Jackson may have served as a youth leader and has ties to other parts of northern Virginia.

Authorities want any other potential victims to call police.
