Rain chances will come to an end and Wednesday will turn out sunny and breezy, with highs in the 70s.
Much colder air will settle into the area tonight. The wind will stay up just enough to reduce the risk of frost tonight, but we will have no such luck tomorrow night. Cold sensitive plants will need protecting Thursday night as most areas outside the Beltway and away from the water will get cold enough for a frost or freeze.

Highs on Thursday will stay in around 60° which is now more than 10° below average. Some extra sunshine on Friday will bring temperatures closer to 65°. A warm front will move through the area on Saturday bringing plenty of clouds and at least a chance for some periods of light rain.
The clouds will keep Saturday's highs in the low/mid 60s. With the warm front to our North, Sunday and early next week will instantly feel like early summer again. Plan for at least 80° on Sunday and closer to 85° for Monday and Tuesday.
Today's and Saturday's rain chances will do little to alleviate the very dry conditions and we risk entering the "abnormally dry" category on the drought monitor if the pattern doesn't change soon. D.C. has only had about 1/4" of rain over the last three weeks.
